Biography

Raphaël Angelini is a Belgian musician and composer who studied with Mikhaïl Faerman, first prize winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. From an early age, he combined classical music with popular songs, an approach that would stay with him throughout his life. Trained at the conservatories of Mons and Brussels, he perfected his technique, although this academic path temporarily distanced him from his deep artistic convictions. As a multifaceted artist, he explores piano, harmony, composition, as well as film direction, sound recording, mixing and mastering.

In 2003, he founded the duo Les Rafales with comedian Alessandro Bevilacqua, combining music and humor in a repertoire that is both poetic and satirical. A few years later, they founded Promania Asbl, an independent label dedicated to free and authentic music production. Through this label, Raphaël produced Prémices, his first album, featuring the song Les Chevaliers de la Gaudriole, which was nominated at the JPF Music Awards in Nashville in 2009.

Rejecting the constraints of the music industry, Raphaël chose an independent path that blends classical, jazz and film music influences. His work is expressed through composition, recording, and live performance. Passionate about music production, he meticulously crafts each creation, from raw sound to finished piece.

Now a piano teacher and writer, he sees transmission as a natural extension of his art. Following the tradition of musicians of the past, he combines pedagogy with artistic practice, placing listening and sensitivity at the core of his teaching. Uninterested in self-promotion, he prefers to let the music speak, convinced that fame is a fleeting illusion.

With nearly 400 concerts and performances to his credit, including many solo piano recitals, his journey has taken him into radio and television studios, alongside popular singers, and into the world of entertainment. However, he quickly chose to distance himself from this superficial industry to preserve his artistic integrity and stay true to his values.

Since 2024, his work has shifted toward wellness and inner exploration through music, particularly the piano. More than just an art form, he sees music as a space for connection and resonance, a gateway to deeper listening and heightened perception. Undeterred by the lure of fame, he remains a globally followed artist, surrounded by an engaged and attentive audience.
